Does my friend likes me or not?

I have guy friend who has been my friend from 1 yr. though we have never been very close until he left to other town and I started to email him and asking about his well being. He always replies back but sometime he gives me mixed signals like he will say its always nice to hear from me. Or sometime he will call me hun or the day he told me that there is sexual tension among us. Though I am pretty good at figuring out but I am confused in this matter. Does he like me as frd or does he like me more than that. Is there any way to find out whether he likes me or not coz I am getting frustrated with this word game he plays with me.
