What does it mean when a girl calls a guy "Hun"?

Like whenever I go shopping for clothing and when I am done shopping and go to pay my new clothes, the cashier who is a girl would say something but would call me "hun" like "your all set hun" or something like that. "There you go hun" I think its cute though me being called "hun," just wanna know if there is a meaning to it, so is there a meaning when a girl calls a guy "hun" in a clothing store?
