Should I switch from xbox to ps3?

Ok so I used to own a ps3, although i switched to xbox because I like it better. Now I am in a a bit of a situation... I might move to another country after 2 years or less. The country won't have the xbox live cards, and xbox live is going to be really difficult to setup, and I own an xbox 360 elite, and I don't think it will work in the country i'm going to move to because the voltage over there is twice the voltage of the country I currently live in. Also the country I am going to move to has practically no games for the xbox 360 since barely anyone plays it, however the ps3 has a huge selection of games over there. I am also concerned about losing all my progress and I will have to restart everything later on, and I will have to re buy my games. I also have a lot more friends that play ps3. I don't know what to do I really like the xbox... and halo is one of my all time favourite shooters.. so tell me should I switch from xbox 360 to ps3? Please no hater comments, I don't want to start a console war.
