Okay why did I just get such a nasty response when posting a question to clairvoyants?

I even just had a pastor email me directly and tell me that's heresy. WHAT? Spiritualism is a bonafide religion. Why are people so hostile about it anyway? I mean, we all know there are some so-called psychics who are con artists. But not all of them are.
